What Do They Know
Every night and every day I’ve got
The feeling that she wants to say a lot to me
I don’t understand, no, what she fears
But when she does it there are lots of tears to see
So, Kay, say if I’m wrong or I’m right
I want to hold her in my arms and say:
“I love you”; want to feel her warmth, one day I’ll know
They all say she’s bad, how could it be?
Whenever they say she’s not good for me, I go
Kay, say if I’m wrong or I’m right
I don’t believe what they say about her
She doesn’t leave and I know she takes care
But no one can say why she stays
What do they know?
They all think they know what love can be
But I know that love is above them; see, it’s Kay
Otherwise they wouldn’t say to me
That there must be another way to be – no way
So, Kay, say if I’m wrong or I’m right
I don’t believe what they say about her
She doesn’t leave and I know she takes care
But no one can say why she stays
What do they know?
